Wonderful expression on her face, don't you just love watching the little ones at this time of year?

Did several things here. Smoothed her skin with a combo of a very little Buzz Simplifier, and then used the blur tool very lightly. Used a hue/saturation adjustment level to reduce the red on her face, then masked off her arm and the part of her face which weren't too red. Finally, I used the "painting with light" technique (from dpreview retouching forum) to light her face and darken the background. Add two blank layers - fill one with white and set to color burn, the other with black and set to color dodge. Paint with a soft brush in the opposite color to bring out or hide parts of the image.
