Grumman Goose

One of my earliest memories related to aviation was watching the TV show “Tales of the Gold Monkey” (you can find all the 20 episodes in YouTube), where the main guy flew this airplane in the islands of the South Pacific in the years right before WW2 surrounded by the usual hot girl and a handful of German and Japanese spies (the bad guys, of course).

When I found this model, I knew I had to paint it with the colors of the one in this tv show. The colors are not exact… but quite close.

It first flight was in 1937, has a capacity of up to 7 passengers and there are still a few flying in private hands.

And yes: I have a passion for seaplanes. This is my 8th seaplane in a collection of about 60 models or so.
