After seeing all the rocks at Canyonlands and Arches I needed an organic fix. So we decided to drive the roads in the La Sal Mountains, looking for the "quakin trees" to be in color.

We drove above elevation 9000 feet where we found a large grove of some really yellow and gold leaves on the Aspens. There were many more higher up the mountain.
We hope the photos convey a little bit of the "feeling of fall" on the mountain.
