The title of this gallery refers to the name of a birding tour that I took January, 2007. The Jewels of Ecuador of the tour are the spectacularly colorful birds such as tanagers, hummingbirds, antpittas and toucans. Equally colorful are the flowers and amazing plants that grow in this region. The tour visited several areas on both sides of the Andes and the galleries within this gallery contain photos from these places.
