Darien Life

The Darien is very remote and abounds with great diversity of life. Here is a small sample of the variety of plants and animals seen during the week visit. Fungus? Larva?

Neither.

It's an Hemipteran Bug that produces waxy strands as a protection (or camouflage) against predators.
