Canopy Lodge is only a couple years old. It is owned and managed by the same person who runs the Canopy Tower. It is near the town El Valle de Anton in an extinct volcano about 60 miles west of Panama City. The lodge is situated in the lovely valley of the Rio Amarillo which flows directly in front of the lodge. The birding is excellent; the lodge has several local guides who are very good. Birds come for the bananas provided for them.The accommodations are very comfortable and the food is gourmet.
