This message is for Athol Owen - Your brother Norman and I were at school together in the early 1950's in Kleinzee. I am trying to remember whether you are his 2nd brother (whose name I thought was Raymond), or are you the 3rd son of the family? My dad owned the shop and the farm in Kleinzee at the time. (Sadly my grandfather who was a farmer in the area sold what is Kleinzee - the coastal portion of his farm - in 1926 for something like 27 pounds - that hurts).

hi ek onthou juffrou Louise Smit - ek was in Kleinzee skool as Jolene Lochner, en ek dink amper juffrou het netbal ook gegee. ek was in std 5 in 1981 en het ons toe die dorp verlaat en na george getrek, my pa is verplaas. ek was in 1984 laas in die dorp. ek is vandag getroud met n man wat ook vir n rukkie as kind in oranjemund en kleinzee gebly het, net op n ander tyd - ons het mekaar glad nie geken daardie tyd nie. ek het op facebook met baie van my maatjies van ouds kontak gemaak, 28 jaar later!

Ek was n Sub A onderwyseres by Kleinsee Privaatskool vanaf 1979-1981.Alan Hutchinson was ons hoof en Penny Mitrovic het vir die engelse Sub A'S skoolgehou.Helizaan Nieuwoudt was in my klas gewees.Ek het 2 wonderlike jare daar deurgebring en sal baie graag van iemand wil hoor wat my miskien kan onthou.

Visited Kleinze in the late 70s and early 80s until 1983 while working as a sales rep for a big medical company. I also worked at Oranjemund for 8 years in the late 60s and early 70s. Loved the area and will be going back in May after being away for 26 years and living in Australia.

Kleinzee is very safe. It is a closed mining town with it's own security. The house is also owned by the mine. Quite a comfortable life! We are really enjoying it. Thanks for visiting.
