These swans decided to join me on Mary lake early one summer morning. I was fishing and quickly shifted into photography mode. I wanted to catch them in the beautiful morning light that was barely breaking over the eastern shoreline of Mary Lake. Then another pair of swans came over the trees and circled around into the frame I was set up for! Luck and preparation plays a big part in wildlife photography.
