Dealers should be offering wood in cords or fraction of cords. Any other terms (pick-up load, face cord, rick, rack, pile, etc.) are prohibited for the sale and advertising of wood. A cord is 128 cubic feet of wood stacked tightly. This is typically stacked 4’ high by 4’ wide by 8’ long (4X4X8).

I just paid $110.00 (delivered) for a cord of wood and got about a half a cord. I'm not really complaining. I wouldn't cut and split and deliver a cord of wood to you for $110.00. I'd charge more like $500.00. Have you ever cut, split and stacked a cord of wood? Man oh man! Its a lot of work.

While I agree with you on the amount of work it takes to chop up all of this, I would be upset because I didn't get what I paid for. If the company wants to charge me more for a full cord of wood then charge me the right amount of money, but don't charge me the full amount, and then sell me short in the end. I would raise hell...

btw: nice images, with very good composition. I like how you filled the frame.

I thought the Giant's causeway in the thumb too. Love the repeat, the tones & textures. Chopping wood is good exersize, just ask my husband :>)

Geezzzz, sorry, but I wouldn't be quite so kind....if I paid for a cord, I'd expect a cord, although I don't disagree about the work involved. I wouldn't do it, either, for that. Oh, and before I go off and forget, love the picture. Great colors and detail....very nice!

Wonderful color and details. Ah the city life out here a truck load of wood is 45.00 :-) I have a wood burning kitchen cook stove. We cut and split a lot of wood! Thank goodness for that gas powered wood spliter.
