These lilacs are drenched. Rain rain, go away, come again another day... This bush is right outside our front door, and other than church this morning, that is about as far as I have ventured from shelter today. The greens are beautiful, though and I have always believed more rain is better than less rain. However, I'm sure the folks along the Mississippi River would hold a different opinion currently. Our concerns do go out to those folks. They are strong folks, and will weather this too, they will still need all the help those of us not so affected can provide.
