From May to November of 2002 Elaine and I had gone through a pretty rough time. I flew out to Portland, Oregon to see my daughter Erin and son in law Chris. I rented a car and drove down to LA to catch a flight for a two week vacation on Roratonga in the South Pacific. (never got to Roratonga, but that's another story) The drive was absolutely beautiful. I had just purchased a Canon S200 while in Portland. These were some of my first digital photos.
