Two of these butterflies were visiting redbud flowers in the yard. They are seen fairly regularly in South and central Texas - a little more frequent in the spring and late fall. The larvae feed upon mistletoe. The underside pictured here is very attractive, but the upper side is almost all a deep irridescent blue.
