I don't think this was ever used as the Vomit Comet. Instead it saw duty transporting oversize objects such as sections of NASA rockets, etc. Note also that it's been converted to turboprops form the C-97's original radials.

The aircraft in this photo is a modified C-97, called the Super Guppy. A KC-135 tanker has jet engines. Thought you should know. Thanks.
