Thank you for your observation. By my quick count I have 3 out of about 1000 photos that involve that metal pole.... may have missed one or two. If you really would like... I do know that if you search even more closely, that you will find other perches that have been used even more! I will try to inform the birds that use the feeders in my backyard not to use this perch anymore. Dave
