In my back yard? Heck Yeah!
I drove through Rhode Island driving home.
I had seen this thing going down.
It is absolutely GINORMOUS!!!
Sure, it looks as big as my head in the pic,
but I can assure you it is larger than my ego.
I saw it on the way back and turned around.
I wanted to get close to check it out.
Well I was close enough that if it
had fallen I would be a pancake.
I wanted to see how loud they were.
What they were really like spinning.
And it really was spinning fast.
It was just cranking around and around.
So what was it like?
It was freaking cool.
There are things I do not like in the design.
Things I would do differently.
However, I understand why they did it like this.
So sure, you can hear it when you are this close.
You can see it for miles around it.
Part of that is the lay of the land.
It really is up on a hill.
How are we not building hundreds of these???
How are we not building better ones?
Low noise, low operating costs.
It just does not make sense that we don't build more.
I think I need to start building them.
