I'm just saying

There is a question I get from time to time.
It kind of goes something like this:
"Why do you say your marriage was so bad
when you never left it and never did anything?"
or "Why did you stay at so long if it sucked?"
Well it is a very large question.
However, I think this tree I found
while I was out hiking answered it.
It could not be comfortable for it growing
around a rock like that, but it did.
The tree worked around the issue.
Sure, it might have been better
if the tree had hauled off and
pitched the rock out of the way,
but that is not always practical.

Is the tree leaning on the rock
or is the tree trapping the rock?

Is the rock hurting the tree
or is the rock helping to hold it up?

Yes I do understand that I am
actually speaking to my own shortcomings.
My own lack of strength caused part of it.
Just as my gaining of strength helps me now.
Of course for me, the rock is gone.
Don't worry though because on my path
I have grown new roots where the rock was.
My trunk has filled in fine.
I did mention that it is my forest, didn't I?
