Vacation similarities

So if I am at a Piggly Wiggly, it has to be vacation.
Have a look at my photo from 4-12-08.
This is the same Piggly Wiggly.
It is the same Starbucks.
Different truck, but they don't rent pickups.
And different me again (happens a lot).
Well, same but different (you know how that is).

It was time for a little respite.
It was also time for a little golf.
Sure it was a bit cold, but still great.
I always seem to do extra processing on these trips.
The ones where I spend a lot of time by myself.
There were a couple things that struck me.
One is a returning theme of goodness.
I am just amazed at the life I have made.
I put everything in place to be happy in life.
And the cool part is that I am.
It is always difficult to know unhappy people.
It is harder when then have everything going for them.
Yet they remain unhappy in their lives.
That is just sad in a strange way to me.
Life is about freedom and choices.
So many people (including me in the past) forget that.
The other thing I was struck by was this:
How much better life is since this project started.
You know it started the day my wife asked for a divorce.
I'll be speaking about that the next few "vacation" days.
But the simple answer is "Life is Good".

Oh, and as a side note, my review of this "Dodge Nitro".
What a load of crap American car builders hoist on us.
It was ok and it felt fairly safe to drive it,
but you just can't see a thing out the windows.
Maneuvering in it around the hotel garage was a joke.
You can not see out of the back or sides.
The style they were trying with the high windows, blocks all.
I would not think anyone would buy it after a drive in it.
So when the automakers ask for money from congress,
all I will think of is this load of crap.
It could not miss the mark of common sense any farther.
I disliked it right down to the door handles.
It seems to be designed to last 2 years and fall apart.
Congress should force the CEO of the company to drive one.
THAT would be a punishment.
Would not even rent one again.
