One year since court

Divorce court was one year ago today.
This picture is from about 12 hours ago.
One year ago I was a mess on this night.
Today I am just doing fine.
So much has happened in my life since that day.
I have learned so much more since then.
I understand WAY more about life than I did then.
I understand so much more about relationships too.
One year ago this picture could not have happened.
It is a simple picture really when you look at it.
It is a Quad Grande Latte on the left (yum).
It is a Chai Latte on the right (yuck).
What it represents is so much more than what is inside the cups.
It represents what is inside of me (like the coffee will be).
It represents life and the myriad of emotions.
It represents late night copy paper.
It represents honey ;-)
It represents life.
That is what this is still called after all.
It is The Life Project.
And as far as I am concerned...
These are the two most important drinks in the world.
Because the people who are about to consume them?
They are the two most important people in the world.
Maybe not the whole wide world,
but in my little corner tonight, they are.
This is what can happen a year after divorce court.
Sometimes the disaster and pain can work out good.
Sometimes you just feel good.
So if you are going through it keep your chin up.
Down the road things can just turn good.
Maybe someday you will have coffee and tea in your truck.
Maybe you will get the best hugs ever (for you, mine is taken).
