The visit to Ile de Groix was our last taste of Brittany, and the next morning Alan and Pierrette drove us into Lorient to board the TGV to Paris.


The train was comfortable and fast. We made it into Paris around 4:30Pm and immediately went to our rented apartment in Neuilly-sur-Seine to settle in. After that we started walking down to the Arc de Triomphe. We could see it from where we were staying, and it was only about a 20 minute walk.


Along the way, there were some more modern and interesting buildings to see. This is the Palais de Congres (convention centre).
