Alan and Pierrette had arranged for Alan to pick up Pierrette's mother, Madame Ferland, while we were shopping at the market. Then we would all have lunch together.



Madame Ferland is a feisty 89-year old, with a spirit far in excess of her tiny size. She was a member of the Resistance during the 2nd World War, and apparently has many stories to tell about her escapades during that time.

We were privileged to meet her.
