I have in my collection of photos one of a Hassidic Jew who is equally gaunt, looking at the camera whilst in the midst of a swirl of people. There the similarities end. The other image is the shiftiest, cruelest, most conniving face captured on film I am sure. Evil just emanates from it. This man is sad, as if he has been forever scarred by the losses he has endured, yet his eyes are also gentle, approachable. I hope you had a cuppa of his coffee... smiles.
