The directional low light artyiculated the monochromatic Cypress trees which work well as B&W.
Also there was a certain tension in standing next to a 120' high sheer cliff....
That tension is expressed in the placing of the main tree "dangerously close" to the middle of the image,
which start to create a dichotomy between the trees and ocean.
