Sonoma Creek

Near Sugar Loaf Ridge State Park, California

Right after a heavy rainstorm; the creek was at flood levels.
This was taken with a 6-stop Neutral Density filter to get the 15 second exposure.
This is a longer exposure than I normally do,
but it came out with a certain satisfying surreal quality that works in this situation well enough.

By introducing an element of time (with the recorded motion)
I like the way the trees and rocks have a greater sense of
timeless persistence with this interpretation.

15s, f/8.0 at 28.0mm ISO 100, Tripod, 6/stop ND Filter full exif
