This is an example of why I would like the range of a 120-300mm zoom lens for outdoor sports like soccer...this situation just can NOT be handled with a 300mm prime lens...at this point, the lens is killing the opportunity to get much of a shot of 'soccer'. Situations like this occur many times during soccer matches,and that is why I keep thinking of buying the 120-300mm Sigma lens.
