This is from a little bit over 200 feet away according to the focusing scale on the 400/3.5's barrel. Shot on on a monopod in HSC mode,as you can see, the FOCUS is on the baseball,and the first baseman is a bit out of focus,which is sometimes a problem with a manual focus lens. This is a crop of a HSC or 2x FOV capture, and I am not really all "that" thrilled with the image quality HSC mode gives on long-range shots which have to be cropped-in on.High Speed Crop images do NOT hold up to crop-ins the way the D2x's 12.2 MP captures do.
