Eric turned 21 years old. I felt that this deserved a portrait of both him and his mother. I posed them this way in my back yard and took four frames. I liked this one best. I think it's a nice way to portray both of them in surroundings I am familiar with. This is a "my back yard" type of portrait. This is one of my snaps. Of people I know.About a year ago, Eric's older brother Brett painted our house,right down to the dark blue trim near Eric's hand. That family connection is why I posed Eric this way,with his hand on the house. I also have posed him this way to show the massive chest and shoulders playing football has given him. I suppose I could have framed this as a vertical,and posed it very traditionally. But I didn't want to go that route. I had another agenda.
