This photo os Spencer asleep outdoors on an oversized chaise lounge on the back deck was made as a test shot for the Nikkor 45mm-P lens, which is an ultra-compact,light-weight (120 grams,4.2 ounces) lens that focuses manually, but has a CPU chip in it to transfer electronic exposure information between the lens and any autfocusing Nikon camera body. This photo was done with the lens wide-open, at f/2.8, at 1/250 second in evening shade, with the supplied NC clear filter and lens hood in place. I think the lens does very well at f/2.8 at this close range...the image is very pleasing, and the mostly out of focus bulk of the frame's area is rendered fairly smoothly and pleasantly.
