My son asked me to help him fight his salmon. It was actually quite hard to reel in. He reeled, I did some rod support and lifting, and told him how to pump and reel...3/3 of the way through the fight there was a problem with line slippage, so I thumbed the line down on the foregrip as he pumped upward for a few cycles, and at the end, I helped him walk up toward the bow a couple of steps to help pull the fish toward the net on the port side stern area.
