I wanted a more-surrealistic fireworks type of photo than my nearby tripod would have given me, so I elected to photograph the neighbor kids' foreworks display by hand-holding the camera with the shutter on Bulb,and hoping to catch an interesting rocket or two. I wanted to "suggest" the tree line,not render it sharply. I think this shot worked okay.
