DSCF5078_50SHARPCAT.JPG

Another rainy day here. For some reason, this photo doesn't display all that great under Internet Explorer, but downloaded and viewed in Photoshop, this 50% reduction shows very good sharpness, right down to the tiniest hairs. Shot in open shade from exactly 5 feet away at 200mm with VR. I wish I could post the full 4.25 meg original, but that's rather impractical.
I'm very pleased with the fine detail rendition this lens delivers at or near its very minimum focus range. This was manually focused, which is pretty easy with the shallow 2.8 viewing aperture this lens provides, with a light, smooth, fairly fast action as well.
