I shot this low-flying aircraft as it buzzed over our house on its approach to the airport,using the 80-400 VR lens at full zoom of 400mm, shooting in RAW mode at ISO 800 at ORG-ORG-OFF.I made a "small" 16-bit tiff conversion using EX Converter, then applied USM and re-sized the file down to 1200 pixels wide and saved as a 9-quality JPEG. This is a pretty good representation of the light level at the time (5:53 PM Feb 27,2003). Shot at f/8 at 1/250 second with VR on,Autofocus,Manual metering.
