This is "simulated daylight". These tiny crocus were photographed with the SB-28DX flash hooked to the camera with a SC-17 TTL remote cord, and a small apprx. 5"x8" air-filled PHOTOFLEX mini-softbox was held by my wife about 30 inches from the plant while I took the shot. Plants were in deep shade, and wind gusts were the reason I chose to use flash to simulate daylight. This is a small web-reduction I made from the MacBibble 1-meg RAW-to-JPEG batch conversion at default settings. No levels on this, just USM and re-sizing. I love the color MacBibble gives!
