Using a 7 inch length of.029 inch diameter stainless steel wire, make a loop for the hook, allowing an extra-long tag end. Place a piece of green plastic tubing on a VMC #3 9649 regular wire treble hook,and slide the hook and tubing onto the loop. For single hook use, I prefer the bronze VMC 9171 Size 1/0 Siwash hook, sharpened very well, with then point thinned out on four sides.
