This ripening strawberry was photographed hand-held at f/9.5 from just a FEW inches away. Even with no USM applied, this plant shows the fine detail resolving possible with this lens.With some USM applied, this shot would look quite crisp. And yes, the berry WAS a pale,faint red color. Color is spot on in this shot.
