On a recent drive around the Cheshire village of Wincle in the Peak District National Park, we came across several of these life-sized 'Figures' placed in gardens, at cross-roads, on roof tops and even up trees and telegraph poles. Quite a pleasant way to spend a summers afternoon 'hunting' for these thing; no doubt there are more.................. but why they are there at all I do not know :-)
Just found them again in 2016, and it appears they are to celebrate/publicise the village fete. A lot of effort went into some of these, I love 'em. :-)
