Taken from just below the lighthouse this is the largest of three basking sharks seen that day in the area. The white area on the left of the shot is the open mouth of the animal just below the surface, not a particularly good shot but the first time in my life I had seen one . :-)
A rough "guestimate" would be around 25 feet long
