For now, Jonah is inspired to find a way to visit the place where Steve Irwin lived and worked, and a video contest sponsored by the Australian Zoo and Irwin's family may be just the ticket.
"He says it's his lifelong dream," said Shannan Fields, Jonah's mom. "He's truly passionate about it."
"As a mom," Fields continued, "you want your child's dreams to come true. You want to do all you can to make that happen."
With help from his mom, Jonah produced his own two-minute video describing his plans to build a new exhibit at the Australia Zoo called "The Hall of Steve."
"The design I want it to be is like a crocodile - you walk in the mouth and out the tail," Jonah explained.
Before Jonah's dream can become a reality, he must get the attention of online voters. Jonah needs enough votes to get him into the top 50, and then it's up to birthday girl Bindi Irwin and her mother to decide who wins the contest.
Jonah's family has sent out flyers and e-mails to everyone they know.
So far, they've collected more than 1000 votes, and with a month to go, they are counting on more.
"A couple minutes of someone's time could really make a child's dream come true," Jonah's mom said.
"Crikey mates, vote for me!"
