Like many boys his age, 10-year-old Jonah Fields likes to pretend, but his latest adventure is far more than just play. This is the Columbus boy's chance to follow in the footsteps of his hero, Steve Irwin, and wrestle a dream.
Jonah learned his passion for animals from Steve Irwin, the late Crocodile Hunter and man he has idolized for half of his young life.

"He wanted to save animals by getting people to love animals because people want to save what they love," Jonah said about Irwin's zeal for wildlife.

The Crocodile Hunter's untimely death last September devastated Fields, whose treasured tokens include an autographed picture of Irwin.

Jonah hopes to continue Irwin's legacy and share his own love for animals. "When I grow up, I want to be the Australia Zoo architect," Jonah said.
