The University of Queensland’s Professor Craig Franklin will celebrate the research legacy of his former friend and colleague, Steve Irwin, at the Inaugural UQ Steve Irwin Memorial Lecture.
In his talk on “Steve Irwin Wildlife Reserve: A biodiversity and research hotspot”, Professor Franklin will talk about his leadership of the world’s largest and longest study of crocodile behaviour.
He will also outline the intrinsic ecological value of the reserve, highlighting its remarkable biodiversity, including some unique bauxite springs that are attracting attention from scientists around the world.
