Echo Canyon Trail

I skipped a few photos here and have to fill in the gaps from my portfolio of Camelback pics, which I will do soon. Much of the north-side Echo Canyon Trail includes spectacular red sandstone cliffs, outcroppings, buttes and alcoves along with many splendid panoramic vistas.

This vista is looking almost due north on the Camelback's Echo Canyon Trail about half way up the mountain. The geologic formations are vastly different on the mountain's northern Echo Canyon Trail and eastern Cholla Trail, with some formations dating back as far as 1.5 billion years ago.
