July 19, 2013 - 9:00 a.m. EDT - After a brief weather delay, a United Launch Alliance Atlas 5 rocket launches the second Mobile User Objective System (MUOS) satellite for the U.S. Navy from pad 41, Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida.

The 206-foot-tall Atlas 5 flying in its most powerful configuration will deploy the 15,000-pound MUOS 2, which will provide worldwide cellphone-like services to U.S. military forces on the move.

Photos taken from Port Canaveral - a distance of 11.5 miles.
