Neues (New) Museum is another one of the (five) museums on the Museum Island, Berlin.
The museum was originally built between 1843 and 1855, but was heavily damaged during World War II.
It underwent a significant reconstruction led by architect David Chipperfield and reopened in 2009.
It is famous for contrasting modern design with preserved original ruin.
