For centuries, Patagonia has been known as the "End of the World"; as the southernmost region of the South American continent, it marks the final physical frontier before the formidable Drake Passage and Antarctica.
Life there is a true challenge. The extreme weather conditions, winds of ferocious intensity, and sparse population make it feel utterly disconnected from the modern world.
For both children and young people, time spent on outdoor activities is relatively limited, making summer a precious season.
I stood there for about an hour, taking pictures, trying to sense what they themselves were experiencing.
The yellow building in this photo, is not their town hall or shopping mall, just the hotel where I stayed.
