057_I thank them from the bottom of my heart.jpg

The wedding photographer didn't ask me anything. In any case, I wouldn't have understood Japanese.
I think that she and the bride's family all assumed I was one of the groom's guests.
As for the groom's family, they might have thought the opposite—that I was a second photographer—given my Asian heritage.
I had a feeling that the bride—who appeared both beautiful and intelligent—might have guessed it right; yet, displaying exquisite grace and thoughtfulness, she simply offered me a smile.
After taking a couple of shots, I bowed to them, congratulated them, thanked them, and left.
What a precious experience—an added bonus to my short trip to Japan:
Photos of two weddings, magnificent brides, stunning kimonos.

Hahahaha I often do the same when I see a group being photographed. Nobody worries about one more photographer and they are too busy to take a good pose and smile! V

The photo feels full of warmth, ceremony, and quiet human kindness. The bride in white stands with calm dignity, surrounded by family and friends in elegant traditional dress. The bright sunlight, deep shadows, and old wooden architecture give the scene a timeless Japanese atmosphere. What makes the story especially touching is the bride’s smile and acceptance. Even without words, there was understanding, courtesy, and generosity. A brief encounter became a treasured memory — a small but unforgettable gift from Japan.
Beautiful capture! V
