The arch was commissioned by King Ludwig I of Bavaria, designed by Friedrich von Gärtner, and completed by Eduard Mezger in 1852, dedicated to the army of Bavaria.
A big part of the gate was reconstructed and partially rebuilt in the late 1950s.
Now this 3-arched gate is standing as a reminder to peace.

Wow, it withstood time, wars, pollution etc. and it is still straight and witnessing our times. Nice shot BTW
