Watching the little goslings made my day - I'm so excited that they're growing up across the street from my office, so I can watch them grow. The goose family is very protective of the little ones, but if you crouch down and move slowly, they'll walk up to within 6 feet of you. I think it's because though the geese are wild, people come and feed the colony each day so they're probably expecting a handout.
