The High Plains Homestead was a great surprise. It's like a miniature
Pioneer Village in the middle of nowhere, roughly between the Bison beds and Toadstool park.
The family literally built a preserved ghost town by moving the actual buildings to this place from all over the country includeing a jail, a schoolhouse, a prarie home and more.
The owner, Mike, was more than hospitable, served incredible pie, and provided fascinating conversation.
Highly recommended.
