Gorgeous, love the DOF on this. A canon 2X? Manual focus? My eyesight's not good enough for MF, did you find a taping cheat that makes AF work on this combo? Love the results either way.

WAY 2 GO!! A replay of your mental conversation - "I'm going to get this one! I want it sharp, and I'll deal with the 800 later. At 600 (which is like 850 on the 40)I need to be as fast as possible. Soon as the little bugger lands." ? Or, something of that affect ;-) This has it all Debbie - g

Superb capture!!! Brillantly composed in detail, perspective, natural colorful background, and the expression of the Rufous seems to be patiently saying "are we done yet....can I move!! Another beautifully done work of art, Debbie.
