This is Gabby. She sleeps about 20 hours a day. I was going to post a photo of what happens when you are allergic to cats and you pet your cat and then rub your eye, but trust me, it isn't pretty.

I learned something new today. These are the tracks of a leaf mining insect, which eats its way through the middle layers of a leaf, leaving the tracks behind.

As I was desperately looking around my back yard this evening, trying to snap a PaD before the light ran out and a thunderstorm arrived, I saw this little guy in the weeds. Perfect! As you can see, he was a little unhappy about posing.

It didn't take long to wear these two out in 95-freakiing-degree heat at the park this afternoon. The clan gathered to celebrate Father's Day and my father-in-law's birthday. After a filling dinner of homemade ice cream, we packed it in and headed back to the house to the air conditioning.

This is pretty much how our family room looks the whole time our grandkids are here visiting. We put toys away several times a day, but really, why bother? It doesn't matter, because they are only little once, and I want to enjoy every minute I have with them.

I have 2 year old identical twin grandsons. Sometimes I still can't believe there are two of them. Which means four little shoes. And they are the same size, so it doesn't matter who wears which ones, as long as you have a left and a right.

Today, my daughters and I took my grandsons over to the elementary school to the playground. This is the school my girls attended, and we all experienced the strange feeling of revisiting a place from your childhood. By the way, the playground rocks!

This guy and his brother were literally "weedeating" along our driveway this morning.

Those of you who know me well can easily figure out why I love this photo. It is geometric (orderly) and is multi-colored with my four favorites--red, green, yellow, and blue. This is also Thursday's Global Challenge--Glass.

One minute you're riding on the elevator, and the next minute you're just a sticky green smudge.

These unknown flowers popped up all over the "wild" part of my yard. I can't find them in my wildflower book, but they sure are pretty.

We've been wondering why the thistle seed seemed to be disappearing so quickly.
