The tractor is a John Deere Model A.

Photo made from near the West side of the farm, looking Southwest. The trees on the left horizon are Graceland Cemetery. The tree line below the horizon is South Creek, which in later years after Gilbert no longer owned the farm was straightened and all of the trees removed.

South Creek represented the southern end of the original farm purchased in 1941. Later, Gilbert purchased the land in front of the cemetery which ran to his West property line.
